Due to its technological capacities and valuable chemical content "Early-maturing fruit" strain of Helianthus tuberosus L. have gained a wide use and spread. Roots of this variety are the raw material for industrial manufacturing of dried Helianthus tuberosus L. powder (produced by "Otechestvennyie innovatsionnyie tekhnologhii" concern) and "Dolgolet" biologically active additive (produced by Moskovski zavod "DIOD" limited company). Demand for dietary foodstuffs, nutrient additives, medical drugs made of Helianthus tuberosus L. is growing every year. That requires creation of raw materials producing zones of valuable strains to which "Early-maturing fruit" belongs. The ecologically safe technology of this strain production has been developed. The technology is based on employment of a combination of machines used for cultivation of potato. If yield of the above ground mass is 30 tons per hectare, yield of roots is 30 tons per hectare and the roots are harvested by potato digger with manual collection it is possible to establish a profitable agricultural enterprise specialized in production of this culture. The "early-maturing fruit" strain of Helianthus tuberosus L. is highly valuable as a fodder.
